I've been a volunteer park patroller for Jeffco Open Space for 7 years. There are over 50 parks in the system. Denver residents can drive less than 30 minutes and escape the noise of the city, get some exercise hiking, biking, or riding a horse, and of course, enjoy the mountain scenery. I always have my camera with me in case there is a unique cloud formation, interesting shadows on the trail, or critters who call the parks home. Parks featured include: Alderfer Three Sisters, Elk Meadow, Mt. Falcon, White Ranch, Matthews/Winters, Centennial Cone, Ralston Buttes, Pine Valley Ranch, Meyers Ranch, and Lookout Mountain.
